Authentic Zellige tiles are made from high-quality clay, then hand shaped, cut, glazed and fired at extremely high temperatures resulting in this incredibly durable and aesthetically pleasing tile.Despite their delicate appearance, zellige tiles are highly durable and long-lasting. Made from high-quality clay and fired at high temperatures, they are resistant to water, heat, and stains, making them suitable for use in kitchens, bathrooms, and outdoor spaces. They are relatively low-maintenance and easy to clean. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping with a mild detergent are usually all that's needed to keep them looking their best

Special Considerations for Zellij Tile:

-Zellige tiles have a natural, slightly irregular texture that adds depth and visual interest to surfaces. Their imperfect edges and subtle variations in color create a rustic, handcrafted look that is both timeless and inviting.

– Variations in caliber, flatness, straightness, texture, design and shade are present and inherent to the manufacture process of real zellige products.
– Chips, pinholes and other imperfections are common in zellige tiles and are not defective. Material with these characteristics are not subject for exchange or return.
– It is highly recommended to mix pieces from multiple cartons prior to installation in order to achieve a natural shade variation throughout the installation.
– Zellij tiles look beautiful installed with or without grout, and with a variety of grout joint thicknesses. When installing in a wet area, grouting and sealing will be necessary.
