The Tierras collection is inspired by the concept of sedimentation and traditional Mediterranean craftsmanship. The base of the field tile is a solid black color, comprised of recycled ceramics. Eight different varieties of chromatically compatible lava, terracotta and clay are mixed and deposited on the black base to create the color palette in this series, resulting in saturated and earthy tones. This production process combines the latest in technological innovation with original craft techniques for a refined balance of contemporary and artisanal styles. ApplicationsThe Tierras Industrial field tiles are suitable for interior and exterior walls and floors, including heavy-traffic commercial flooring applications. Installation + MaintenanceTiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. A grout joint of 1/8" or greater is recommended. Use high quality adhesive from manufacturers such as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers’ recommendations, depending on conditions. Clean with a neutral detergent.
