Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping

Many orders qualify for free shipping. For items that do not qualify for free shipping, shipping costs are based on product weight and ship-to location. To get an estimate of your product shipping cost, you can either: a) place your items in your cart, enter your location and receive an estimate or b) call/email us, and we’ll calculate it for you.

Most of our materials are in stock for immediate shipment. We often ship orders out within 24 hours. If the product page states “out of stock”, you’ll also see the estimated time of arrival to our warehouse. Simply place your order and we’ll fill it as soon as the material arrives.

Shipments under 150 lbs. ship via FedEx. You’ll receive tracking information when your order ships from our NJ warehouse. Shipments 150 lbs. and over will ship via a freight forwarder. Materials are packaged carefully upon shipment. Freight shipments arrive wrapped and secured to a pallet. Please refer to our Shipping details and Return Policy.

For FedEx deliveries, (under 150 lbs.), you do not need to be present to accept the delivery. Freight deliveries (over 150 lbs.) require someone to sign for them. Once the shipment has arrived at your local terminal, the carrier will call you to schedule a delivery appointment.

No. A liftgate truck will be provided for your convenience. Residential deliveries are curbside.

Returns & Exchanges

Many orders are non-returnable, so please order carefully. We do, however, have several exceptions. Please refer to our Return Policy.

Samples

Samples are provided at a low price for both the sample and shipping. This pricing varies by product and ship-to location.

Both the sample cost and sample shipping cost will be credited to you when you place your product order.

There is a limit of 1 sample per sku per person, household or business.

Samples ship within 1-2 business days via Fed Ex Ground.

With porcelain tile, always expect some color variation from tile to tile and lot to lot. This is an industry standard. All our tiles fall within the range standards outlined by TCNA (Tile Council of North America.). Always be sure to order your material at the same time, as mixing dye lots will be more noticeable.

Natural stone has inherent characteristics that make each piece unique (like leather, for example), so again, expect to see some variation between your sample and material. Since natural stone always has variation, we recommend doing a dry lay prior to installation to evenly balance your materials in the room.

Installation

Refer to our Material Considerations for Natural Stone Guide.

Tiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. A grout joint of 1/8" or greater is recommended. Use high quality adhesive from manufacturers such as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers’ recommendations, depending on conditions. For grout joint information, refer to our Grout Joint Article.
