Folded - Porcelain Tile designed by studio Raw Edges for MutinaDescriptionWhen the design team of the studio Raw Edges conceived the idea of ceramics as paper material the collection Folded, a through-body porcelain tile, was born. The shapes and forms appear ephemeral… deceptive even.The design team wanted Folded to have a surreal effect in interiors, as having a steamy hot shower surrounded by “paper tiles”, stepping with bare, wet feet on delicate “folded floor” or entering a massive hall covered with “unfolded paper.” The team hoped to create a paper illusion which would express the tension between the delicate appearance of the original material and the durable ceramics.Patterns, Colors + SizesThis series is available in one color (Bianco) in the following nominal (and actual) size: 24"x24" (23.62"x23.62").The matte-white Maxifold, Midifold and Minifold patterns are boxed together to create a more random effect and are not sold separately.ApplicationsFolded is suitable for interior walls, as well as interior residential and heavy-traffic commercial floors.Installation + MaintenanceTiles can be installed using standard installation methods for thinset adhesives. A grout joint of 1/8" or greater is recommended. Use high quality adhesive from manufacturers such as Laticrete and Mapei, following manufacturers’ recommendations, depending on conditions. Clean with a neutral detergent.
